Continuing Ed: Building Energy Benchmarking & Performance- Raleigh

The Energy Performance Circle: Energy analysis before day one and beyond

This session will present to attendees a variety of energy efficiency strategies and an in-depth study of overall impacts on building design. A general overview of energy modeling process and a methodology to integrate it into the design process will be reviewed. We will then look at the importance of establishing a methodology to objectively quantify how well buildings are performing against their energy goals. We will explore how to use data to make decisions on using resources to achieve original or new goals of building performance. Finally, this session illustrates building energy metabolism and how key design parameters impact the energy load pattern. Uncover how to apply energy conservation strategies early in design to achieve a lean energy diet.
