2018 April O.W.L.S. Course

What Should my Building Consume? Using Nutritional Facts to Design Energy-Efficient Facilities Ever wonder how to “measure” how much energy a building might be expected to use? Why do some buildings require more “calories” than others? What tools are available during early design to set reasonable targets? In this session, we will “peel back the layers” and explore how building type, function, and location determine load profiles that can help building performance goal-setting. We will also review how tools can be used in the early design phase to result in efficient buildings on a “lean” energy diet.
