Location:    Bechtler Museum of Modern Art

Born in Fribourg, Switzerland in 1925, Jean Tinguely grew up in Basle. As a grinding poor artist at the beginning of his career, he became part of the artistic avant-garde in Paris, and soon brought some movement into the art scene - in the true sense of the word. At the beginning of the 1960s he shot to fame and eventually became Switzerland's most famous international artist of the 20th century.

Attendees will earn 2 AIA LUs.

An event reception with a cash-only bar and free light bites begins at 6 p.m. in the Bechtler lobby followed by the presentation and film screening at 7 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for the public, $8 for museum members, and $5 for students
